Days: Ten through Thirteen

Well, I honestly have nothing much to report. I'm almost at two weeks but am still not discouraged because I might be one of those folks that take three weeks to a month to notice changes. I'm committed to the program for two months and I'll take it one day at a time. At first I thought I wasn't drinking enough water, but I am.

Each time I take the fiber, I find myself still tremendously bloated. I have not noticed any difference in my skin or hair (ie. health/ shininess), nor have I felt an increase in energy. On the contrary I've been extremely tired (perhaps the World Cup has something to do with it?)

DAYS: Eight and Nine

I tried to double the dose of fiber in one drink several days ago, but found out rather quickly that it made one big, gloppy, gaggy mess. So, after my four pills, glass of water and fifteen minute wait, I'm now taking two glasses of fiber (one scoop total) with hot water. Psychologically, it's like drinking soup and, for me, it goes down easier .

As to any other "monumental" things to report, nothing really. I suppose my regular diet has enough fiber (I eat a healthy amount of vegetables, grains and fruit on a daily basis) to keep me more than regular. I'm still feeling rather bloated, so we'll see if there are any changes in the next couple of weeks.

I will check in with Penha and see what she's noted.

Day nine I kind of slacked. I ate a bagel, drank a couple cups a coffee then did the four pills and fiber routine late in the morning. I will really steep the tea and see if anything exciting happens. I did by some oatmeal at the foreigner's market and cooked with potatoes, rice and beans, so that's plenty of additional fiber that I take in on a regular basis. I'd like to see if the bloating goes away; that's the main reason I'm doing this.

DAYS: Six and Seven

Aside from occasional emergency runs to the loo (pretty much an hour or two after drinking the fiber), nothing really interesting seems to be going on. The instructions do include the encouragement that individual results may vary and many folks do not notice much of a change until two or three weeks into the program.

Strangely enough, this week has flown by and I cannot believe it's already Day 7. I forgot to up my herb and fiber dosage yesterday and so I will have to begin the four pills and full scoop of fiber tomorrow. Perhaps Penha and Natalia are having a more exciting time of it. Time will tell :)

Natalia:

OK, Colonix phase two is ON! It so happens that what I thought was a good cleaning section was not even half of what becomes after the 5th day. Let's say, I never use to believe websites' photographs and now I do! :) Check!

DAYS: Three to Five

Well, aside from feeling massively bloated, I don't have much to report for Day 3. I have only had three glasses of water so far- I must step it up. Soccer and hiking both seem out of the question today due to the rain, so I'm off to give the exercise bike a whirl.

Penha-

Things have been the same for the past couple of days.

DAYS: One and Two

Yesterday I received five boxes of Dr. Natura Colonix. The company only ships to the US and Canada, so my mom was kind enough to mail us the package. I immediately opened the box and took two of the pills with a glass of water. After waiting the required fifteen minutes, I mixed a 1/2 cup (provided in the bottle) of fiber with a glass of water and quickly (without trying to gag) drank the mixture down. It didn't taste bad, but I have issues with the texture. I drank another glass of water and went about the rest of my day.

After discovering that our little Korean island was to be without running water for five days (due to a break in the main water supply pipe) I decided that this was *not* the ideal time to be starting this program. C'est la vie; it is what it is.

That evening America won against Algeria and before I went to bed I remembered to drink my tea. It was pleasant and quite aromatic.

Realizing I probably did not drink the eight glasses of water required, this morning I took the two pills, drank a full glass of water; drank the fiber 15 minutes later and imbibed another 8oz glass of H20. I did have a gurgly stomach and several visits to the loo. Nothing to write home about. I'm still looking and feeling quite bloated.

A few hours ago I delivered the other four boxes to the girls. Each of them will see if their husbands are interested in joining us for our experiment, but if not, it becomes their second months' supply. They were both excited and I'll gather their reports as soon as I can.

On a weight loss note, I currently weigh 52 KG or 114.5 pounds. My personal goal on the program (including running/biking and crazy amounts of soccer) is 48 or 49 KG by the end of the summer.

Natalia:

I can say I felt the same way about taste and texture. Ok, here goes my remarks: after reading the box instructions found out I have been using some of this herbs in the past in other sorts of supplements. In Brazil is very common to use almost 60% of what's written in the box on just about any vitamins for children even. Other remark is that if you drink 2 litters of water a day alone will clean your body, so...I'm really curious about this program AFTER the 5th day.

No wonder why they double the amount you should take. But I promise to keep positive, after all, the mind is a very strong thing and if I don't want it to work, nothing will make me poop like crazy.

Hummmm sorry, just forget about my previous comment! I mean, 13:00 and twice to the loo?! Talk about some weird stuff!!

Penha-

I started the program on a Thursday night with the tea. On Friday, I began by taking two of the Paranil capsules and fifteen minutes later, I drank a half spoonful of Colonix fiber diluted in water. Following the instructions, I drank at least two liters of water.

I frequented the restroom much more often than before, probably four or five times compared to one.
